Two Indian Ayurvedic doctors, Dr. Raghavendra Shetty and Dr. Rajkumar Bhati are now working at the Private Palace Grand Hotel Binz in the Ostseebad Binz. The Five-Star House expands its Ayurveda offer – this is unique in Germany.
Shortly after 6 o’clock in the morning, Dr. Rajkumar Bhati runs through the Ostseebad Binz on the Baltic Sea. For the Indian Ayurveda doctor it is a fixed ritual on the island of Rügen – the daily morning walk. “After that, half an hour of yoga is on my program, and then continue with Ayurvedic breakfast” tells the 52 year old Ayurvedic practitioner who has recently been working at the Private Palace Grand Hotel Binz. The “Teaching of Knowledge” – how Ayurveda is translated literally – characterizes Dr. Rajkumar Bhati’s life.
The Five-Star House directly on the fine Ostsee Beach deliberately focuses on the thousands of years old Indian healing. “Authentic Ayurveda is in the trend – more and more guests are booking Ayurveda cures and treatments with us. We are pleased that we were able to win another specialist for us with Dr. Rajkumar Bhati ” says hotel director Markus Wölflik. “Dr. Rajkumar Bhati and our long-time Ayurvedic physician Dr. Raghavendra Shetty ensure that we can extend our offer for special Ayurvedic cures on the Baltic Sea.”
Authentic Ayurveda at the Baltic Sea on the island of Rügen
“Ayurveda helps people to live happier, healthier, and longer,” says Dr. Rajkumar Bhati, who came to Germany in the year 2006 and previously worked as an Ayurveda specialist at “Devaya Authentic Ayurveda” in Baden-Baden. “It has always been my dream to come to Germany. I like the mentality of the Germans “says the double father of his wife working as a teacher in India. “I see my family three times a year, twice I travel to India, and once my wife comes to me.”
Dr. Rajkumar Bhati is already pleased to present his wife the island of Rügen and especially Binz. “Here there is wonderful nature – and Binz is the tourist centre. I love the cleanliness and the architecture of the Baltic Sea. ”
Dr. Rajkumar Bhati, who has been a vegetarian since birth and has never drunk alcohol or smoked a cigarette, is working for the first time in his professional career in a hotel. He is active in the Private Palace Grand Hotel Binz as well as in the Private Palace Rugard Strandhotel. “I have been welcomed very warmly – the guests and colleagues have made it very easy for me. I feel comfortable from the first day at the Ostseebad Binz. ” Dr. Raghavendra Shetty smiles at the words of his new colleague: “I am delighted that our Ayurveda team is growing. We are the only hotel in Germany that offers several Ayurvedic cures. ”

One of them is the traditional Panchakarma cure. It pursues the goal of purifying the body and reducing the weight. Ten nights including Ayurvedic full board for the Ayurvedic chef and chef Heiko Philipp costs the Private Palace Grand Hotel from 2,144 Euro per person in a standard double room. The Rasayana Cure – The Ayurvedic Rejuvenation therapy – is available for seven nights including Ayurvedic full board from 1,738 Euro per person in a standard double room.
In addition, guests can experience The Langhana Cure – Ayurvedic fasting – with seven nights including Ayurvedic full board from 1,487 Euro per person in a standard double room. The Yoga Cure – Meditation Cure – costs seven nights including Ayurvedic full board from 1,835 Euro per person in a standard double room.
Ayurveda Cures at the Baltic Sea
Also new in the offer is the Stress Off Cure – the relaxation cure. The Private Palace Grand hotel offers three nights including Ayurvedic full board from 644 Euro per person in a standard double room.
Before an Ayurvedic Cure starts, the determination of the doshas is always on. “We examine our guest and ask him questions to determine his physical constitution – that takes about 90 minutes,” explains Dr. Rajkumar Bhati. The Ayurveda teaching distinguishes three doshas: “Vata” “Pitta” or “Kapha”. “Depending on which dosha type our guest is, we develop nutrition and application plans”, adds Dr. Raghavendra Shetty. They both know that “only in a balanced body and mind can vitality and performance be put to life.”
Ayurveda as Prophylaxis
The hotel owner Dr. Michael J. Hutter agrees – The physician from Braunschweig emphasizes: “Ayurveda is an excellent means to help stress-stricken people because it can normalize the cortisol level. Also, cardiovascular risk factors can be significantly minimized. Ayurveda has been able to achieve great success in the burn-out syndrome prophylaxis. Ayurveda is more than wellness – the old knowledge of life is a holistic health program. And it works for thousands of years. ”
